PrecioTope

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information PrecioTope ("we", "us") collects when you use preciotope.com (the "Service"), how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information: when you create an account we receive your email address and, if you provide them or sign in with Google, your name and profile photo, along with the identifiers needed to sign you in. Accounts are managed by our authentication provider; we do not receive or store your password.

Usage and device information: like most websites, our servers and service providers automatically record technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, referring page, date and time, and error logs.

Preferences: your language choice is stored in your browser.

Messages you send us: when you use the contact form we keep your name, email address, the topic and your message so we can answer you, together with a one-way hash of your IP address used only to prevent abuse.

Payment information: when you make a purchase, payment is handled by our third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number; we may receive limited details such as the card type, last four digits, billing country and a record of the transaction.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information.

2. How we use information

We use information to: provide and operate the Service; create and secure your account and sign you in; show features available to signed-in users; prevent abuse, scraping, fraud and security incidents; understand and improve how the Service is used; communicate with you about your account or changes to our terms; and comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share information

We share personal information only with service providers that process it on our behalf and under their own security and confidentiality obligations — for example, authentication (Clerk), payment processing, content delivery and security (Cloudflare), and hosting and storage providers — and only as needed to run the Service. When you request a vehicle report, the vehicle identifier (such as the VIN) is sent to the report provider to fulfil the request.

We may also disclose information if required by law or legal process, to protect the rights, safety or property of PrecioTope, our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use only cookies and browser storage that are necessary for the Service to work: keeping you signed in, protecting against abuse, and remembering your language and where you were in the listing. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block cookies in your browser, but signing in will not work without them.

5. Vehicle records

Auction records shown on the Service describe vehicles, not people. We do not intentionally display personal information about vehicle owners, and vehicle identification numbers may be partially hidden. If you believe a record includes your personal information, contact us and we will review it.

6. Retention

We keep account information while your account is active and delete it within 30 days after you ask us to delete your account, except where we must keep it longer to comply with law, resolve disputes or prevent abuse. Transaction records are kept as long as required for accounting and tax purposes. Technical logs are kept for a limited period, generally no more than 90 days.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of its sale, targeted advertising or profiling (we do none of these). You can update your profile and delete your account at any time from the Account page, or contact us.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and you may appeal a decision by replying to our response. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

9. Children

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International users

Your information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live, wherever we or our service providers operate. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those countries.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version; if a change is material, we will provide notice on the Service. If a translation conflicts with the English version, the English version controls.
